Well after being at the hospital all week I was missing my Lilly Kate! I saw her everyday when Sandra brought her to our Hospital/Hotel room for a visit but not when that sweet girl woke up in the morning. When she wakes up she throws her arms up in the air to greet me, oh how I love that morning greeting. So since I have posted about Margaret Anne over the past few days I thought it was high time for Lilly Kate to get her own post. So here are a few pictures of my precious little Lillsters............

Day's 3 &4 and then Home again Home again!
Well day 3 was uneventful which is good. Just more of the same, baths and a few Doctor consults. We actually had a nice long talk with her Dermatologist and I was telling her about the video of M.A. dancing in her M.C. Hammer outfit and she wants me to send it to her so she can have it to show other patients. Margaret Anne might be a star yet! Wednesday also brought several visitors who M.A. was so happy to have. We actually had several visitors throughout our stay and we are so appreciative of them for coming for a visit.
Day 4 was as Margaret Anne called it Noid day. She talked to my mom on the phone Wednesday night and told her that she was having her Noids taken out in the morning. To all of you that is her Adenoids. She came through her surgery with flying colors and even woke up and told everyone around that she did not feel silly. They told her she was going to drink silly juice and I think she was a little disappointed that she did not feel silly.
We are home and so happy. Patrick's mom Sandra is here for the week and the girls are so happy to have their Grandma here and we are so thankful for her coming to take care of Lilly Kate.
I have several funny stories to share from the hospital but I will save them for another post but here is the Wet Wrap Video I promised and a few other pictures from our stay.....

Day 2-ENT
Well we have had every kind of consult I think you can have from Rheumatology, Allergy, Dermatology to ENT. Do you know that there is a link between eczema and sinus infections? No, me neither. So Ent took a CT of her Sinuses and they found her right side to be blocked and that her adenoids need to be taken out. So since we are already here they are going to take out her adenoids in the morning (Thursday) at 7:15. They say, she will be up at it by 9 a.m., just in time for her a.m. bath.
The baths are working wonders and M.C. Hammer is still hammin' in up around here she has all the nurses in stitches and the Dr's all leave laughing. Which is good because a while back after we left a Dr.s office Margaret Anne and I were in the car and she very seriously asked....Do Doctors ever laugh? Good question, but now she has her answer at least we know she can make them laugh!
Prayer is working...her Dermatologist is going to send her home tomorrow after her Bath's!!! Yeah we are looking forward to our house and our own beds. We will post our pictures and dancing video when we get home (I'm having a hard time finding a way to download the pictures here at the hospital). Thank you to everyone.

Day 1- M.C. Hammer
Well day 1 was good. Margaret Anne is being such a trooper! She is actually calling it the Hospital Hotel.
The intensive skin therapy they are doing is 2 hydro baths a day, then they saturate her skin in creams and wrap her like a mummy in wet gauze. After they do all that they put her in this sweat suit that keeps the moisture in, she wears that for 2 hours then puts on silk pajamas.
We had a little fun on Monday the suit reminds Patrick and I of M.C. Hammer so we played it on Patricks I-Phone and she danced to Can't touch this! We got some video and I will post it later. Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. I hope to get some pictures on here soon.

I think I will call her Kit
Before going to the hospital for the week a package came Friday afternoon.....
anyone else gotten a package that looks like this and you will know what is inside....
That's right our very own American Girl! Kit Kitterage (that is her official character name)
Margaret Anne LOVES Kit!
This is her early Birthday present but after being told we were going to the hospital this week we rush ordered her to be here for our hospital trip. Margaret Anne was so excited about Kit coming and could hardly wait. So on Friday to pass the time before UPS brought her to our house we were thinking of names for her, I came up with at least 50 names and when I was out of names she said I think I will call her Kit. Of course you will!

Margaret Anne/Denver update
Well I have to say for now the Insurance wins round 1 on this fight for them to pay out of network for Denver. However I think we will win in the end! Why? Because Margaret Anne's dermatologist is going to admit her to the hospital here in St. Louis on Monday August 24th for 5 days. This will give them a chance to get her skin cleared up with intensive skin treatments and start her on a new regimen of medicines as well as do several consults for her other underlying issues (asthma and allergies). Why not Denver and why haven't they done this for MA a long time ago? Well they did not know her IGE numbers back then and now they do and now they see that she needs her skin issues taken care of right away. This makes me beyond happy to know that sometime next week we could be sitting in her bed (away from home, no T.V's in the bedroom at home) and watching a movie and NOT ITCHING! So please pray for us as we go on this little adventure and we will be sure to update the blog while in the hospital.

Bermont aka Vermont
Margaret Anne calls it Bermont the rest of us call it Vermont, although in the winter I'm sure their a lot of people who call it Bermont. My Dad, Step-Mom Linda, Uncle John, Aunt Mary and Step-Brother Rick live in Vermont and we head up there every year on the 4th of July and this year was no different. My Sister Mary Alice and her Husband Kevin, my Step Sister Lauren and her Husband Rick, Sons Andrew and Luke make the trek up to. You never know who else might be there. This year was my Aunt Ginni and Uncle Tom's 25th wedding aniversary so we had a little event for them on the 4th. Because of this my Aunt Betty and Debbi, Uncle Bill and Liz and Uncle Bob all made the trip. What a hoot it was to have that crowd together again. I have a lot of memories of this group and it usually ends up in fits of laughter and this trip was no different! Here a few pictures of our trip (somehow I did not get a group shot)............

Sweet Sweet Sister!
My sister Mary Alice called me on Friday and I could not talk because I was upset over Margaret Anne and all the insurance hoops we have to keep jumping through to get to go to Colorado. Later that day someone knocked on the door and it was a man carrying these.....

These beautiful flowers were from my sweet sweet sister! Thank you Mary Alice!
P.S. Patrick brought me flowers on Friday to ( I must have sounded horrible on the phone!) and when he saw these he was tempted to snatch the card and say they were from him.

Pure Magic
Margaret Anne asked..." Why is it called the Magic House?"
See if you can tell from these pictures....

Did you see the smiles? (not the forced ones when they were posing) That is pure magic!
P.S. Do you see the exhaustion? That is pure magic to have them that worn out so that naps followed for everyone.

God Made Dirt so Dirt Won't Hurt
Don't you remember someone telling you that in your childhood?
Well I told it to my daughter this weekend....
Well I told it to my daughter this weekend....
We had dirt delivered this weekend for a landscaping project we are doing and that pile of dirt provided more entertainment than any toy from the toy store!
(Don't let that sweet face deceive you she would rather have been outside and probably been the dirtiest)
I hope everyone had a great weekend and at least got a little dirt under their nails.

It is better to Give...
The girls and I spent most of last Friday with all the other back to school shoppers in Target. Big surprise you are thinking to yourself but this time it was different. Margaret Anne, Lilly Kate and I went there with a back to school wish list from Epworth Center here in Webster Groves. We did call ahead to ask what they really needed from the list and a nice lady named Margaret informed us that they did not need any more crayons and what they really needed was backpacks and scientific calculators. Good thing we called ahead because she also informed us that these supplies are for middle school and high school kids (I knew they served this age group but assumed the supplies would go to all ages), can you imagine them going back to school with the Princess folders Margaret Anne would have picked out for them!
Why Epworth Center? Some of you might know that Patrick was in a car accident last year a few days after I got home from the hospital after having Lilly Kate. They still don't know what happened but he is great and never even got a scratch. The accident happened RIGHT in front of Epworth Center a place for underprivileged and troubled youth to go and be safe as well as receive an education. It just so happens that the EC is a Methodist ministry and our church supports them. So over the last year as a family we have taken the time to visit and donate when they have asked. We are truly blessed that Patrick was not hurt but also grateful for the ministry that takes place at Epworth Center.

Margaret Anne did bring her wallet and payed her own $ towards the supplies.

What's for Breakfast?
I'm sure it looks like what most of you have had recently with all the blueberries in season or maybe you have had one at your local bakery. At the Adair house we don't get that option (the bakery option) because when they make those treats they use eggs and milk, 2 ingredients we cannot have. So in the kitchen we have to be creative. I have found that most jiffy mixes do not have milk and egg added. Probably why they are so cheap!
If they don't have milk and eggs in them and those ingredients have to be added, what do we use? Well thankfully MA is not allergic to soy so we add...

And of course some Fresh..
Then we enjoy!
