When a recipe includes Champagne...It has to be GOOD

First let me clarify, Sparkling Wine not Champagne
(I don't want to get in trouble with France).

I started with these ingredients...

This was our final product.....

The girls and I made this Sparkling wine pound cake today. This was our first attempt at a pound cake that is Margaret Anne friendly and I must say it passes the taste and look test.

Can anyone guess what we had for an afternoon snack?

How can sister love go from one minute being this sweet together :

Why did I have the camera to my face instead of playing interference with these 2? I had been asking friends lately when their children started to play together and they said about the age of my girls. So I was in the other room and I heard giggles for a long time and I thought this is it! Like it was just going to happen all of sudden and they would play sweetly together forever, HA HA! So I went and grabbed the camera and started clicking and no longer than a couple of shots in the scene turned to what it usually is like in our house, Lilly Kate pulling MA's hair or MA hitting LK. So I am hoping for a little Sister Love this Valentines Day.

What happens if....?

You leave your 4 year old and 1 year old alone with markers....

Your 4 year old will put the red marker on her lips like lipstick

and your 1 year old will draw all over her hands

This was just the first part of our Valentines project, next step involves glue!

P.S. Funny Margaret Anne story: This morning heading to church Patrick and I had decided to let Margaret Anne take communion and we were discussing what communion means. So when I said Jesus died on the cross so we could go to _____ she shouted "CALIFORNIA!". I think we have some Bible reading to do.
