Santa found us in Florida

I guess I better publish this post before I forget all about the girls 1st Christmas in Florida. I put this post to publish last week and as I was doing it Lilly Kate turned off the computer so all was lost. I had to get over my loss before I could sit down and put my thoughts together again. I have to say as I sit here writing this it is COLD outside, I did not move to Florida for this kind of weather. St. Louis friends can testify about my dislike of the cold and freezing weather. The first winter we were there everyone kept saying this is the coldest winter in a long time we haven't had this much snow in 10 years well guess what everyone here in Florida is saying the same thing, not the snow part but the cold part! I guess I better get over my whining and get on with the Christmas story.

There is a lot about being home that makes me happy and one of them is going to church where you grew up. I truly love going and seeing people I grew up with married and with children. I have to honestly say this was one of my biggest worries and something I prayed a lot about but it really is great to see everyone. Christmas Eve we went to the 5p.m. service made for young families and what fun it was to hear all those little people excited about singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Sweet sound to this mommas ears.

Our St. Louis neighbor Jeff Pantano told Margaret Anne that he saw Santa at her house and he had to tell him that she and Lilly Kate had moved to Pensacola. Thank goodness he did because we would have had one sad little girl Christmas morning.

Christmas morning provided the following pictures.....I will leave out the photo captions and let you put your own in......

Christmas Morning we had My Mom, Mary Alice, Kevin, Janice and Ming along with the Adair Family. We had a great time watching the girls open presents and dance to Margaret Anne's new c.d player. Kevin made my Uncle Bills Christmas Roast and we ate like Kings and Queens. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and you are having a Fabulous New Year!!

Good Bye is so hard to do!!

We have arrived safely in Pensacola and have unpacked most boxes except clothes boxes (they just keep coming!). Our trip down was uneventful..Thank Goodness.

This post is dedicated to our sweet sweet St. Louis Friends and Family who we will miss more than they will ever know. Before we left for Florida there were a couple parties. First one up in the pictures is the open house my sister and next door neighbor had for us at our neighbors beautiful home. All the neighbors came as well as our good friends from church we all had such a great time and great food. Thank you Rebecca and Lauren what a lovely send off....

(y'all know that is what you want to do when you see one of these!)

Next up is the most precious tea party ever. Why do I say that when most tea parties are precious...this one had sweet little girls who truly were sad to see there friend leave but wanted to dance and play with her before she left. Thank goodness they made me laugh so much or I just might have cried the whole time. Our GREAT friends the Kesslers hosted this party for Margaret Anne and their girl classmates they all dressed up in fancy clothes or princess dresses. Rachel was so kind to make sure the entire party was Margaret Anne friendly. These sweet friends of Margaret Anne's had a great time singing and dancing and of course getting their finger nails painted. Thank you Rachel and Alicia for such a special day.

(this is the only group shot we got and it was after half the girls went home, of course!)

(Margaret Anne's party dress was a gift from her Uncle Rick just for this special party)

Saint Louis we will miss you. To all our neighbors, what can I say y'all truly are the best neighbors anyone could ever ask for and our new ones wherever that may be have some big shoes to fill. Webster Hills friends thank you for the part y'all played in our Christian walk as a family and to our children. We have all learned a lot about ourselves during our time in St. Louis and would not trade it for the world. We love you all!!!

House for Sale

Well I have an excuse for the lack of posts...
Our sweet home in Webster Groves is for sale because of our upcoming move to Pensacola and well.....it has taken up all our time.
We went to Ozark for Thanksgiving and on our way home I cried and cried. Patrick would look over and say are you crying again. I am truly excited about our move home but I am so sad to leave my family and friends here in St. Louis. I know I always have a place to stay in St. Louis but I want y'all to know you always have a place to stay in Pensacola.

BOO-WHO

Knock Knock
Who's There?
BOO
BOO-WHO
You don't have to cry about it!

In St. Louis it is customary for you to tell a joke in order to get your candy and this is the joke Margaret Anne told to everyone the night of Halloween. I don't know of anywhere else that has you do this but they are very serious about it around here.
We had a great Halloween and enjoyed the company of our neighbors and friends with our annual Halloween chili, hot dogs and s'mores.
The girls loved dressing up and having their Mae Mae here to go trick or treating with them.
Margaret Anne: Little Red Ridding Hood
Lilly Kate: Big (little) Bad Wolf
Mae Mae: Grandma

Tiger Tales

We are still yelling War Eagle here at our house. Margaret Anne thinks Auburn wins every game and when we tell her that they lost she just says NO they didn't, they won! I don't know where she gets that from!? We have seen more Auburn football this year than we have since we left the state of Alabama from St. Louis Auburn Club watch parties to going to Knoxville for the Auburn/Tennessee game. Our love of Auburn will never waver even in this '09 season.

First a picture from the St. Louis Auburn club party..

Next up our trip to Knoxville with Uncle Jonathan....
Before the game we took a little trip to the park

Can anyone see the SAS coming out in this girl?

Last but not least Margaret Anne's REACTION when she first saw the game especially the band and cheerleaders!!!

Does Lilly Kate Need a Haircut???

I know most of you will have an opinion but here is the thing, I want her bangs to grow out and I love those curls so ...
Do I give her a trim? (don't worry momma I would take her the beauty parlor)
Do I cut it in a cute bob like MA's? ( did I tell y'all MA got her hair cut, I will post some pictures)
Do I leave it like it is and cut it in a few months?

P.S. we have to put clips in her hair to keep it out of her eyes but she is almost able to put it behind her ears.
(like she keeps it there, ha ha)

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you....at school!

Well school finally started here! Margaret Anne and Lilly Kate's Mom's Day Out and Pre-School did not start until the first week of September. Boy where we all happy for it to start including Momma. This was Lilly Kate's first time going to Mom's Day Out and I was a little sad at first then I realized how much I could get done with no children in the car. Can you believe I actually forgot how much you could get done by yourself?

We started the day off with one of my favorite bible verses..Number 6:24-26 if you grew up Methodist you will know this one by heart it is what we said at the end of every MYF..May the Lord Bless you and Keep you. May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift His countenance upon you and give you peace.

Then some good breakfast, notice I started taking pictures of Lilly Kate before eating.

Margaret Anne and Kit in their matching nightgowns from American Girl

She was running for the playground not the front door.

Margaret Anne in a skirt of course! She will only wear skirts, it is a rare day to see her in anything else. (Pre-School)

They both had a great start to school and love their teachers I pray this trend continues.

P.S. I have a funny story for y'all....Margaret Anne I went to breakfast the day after I had her pre-school orientation and I was telling her who was in her class. One of the boys names is Joseph and she kept asking me all about Joseph and she wanted to know what his mommy's name was. Then at Hobby Lobby she was telling everyone that Joseph was in her class. I could not figure out why she was so stuck on Joseph. (Can any of you see where this is going? because I did not) When we picked up Lilly Kate from MDO she looked at her and said..."Did you know that Jesus' Daddy is going to be in my class". I almost had to pull over, I did not know whether to laugh or cry.
When we met Joseph on Friday she looked at him and said your not Jesus' Daddy your just a little boy.
