Birthday Laugh for Uncle Kevin

Have you ever laughed so hard you cried and then where paralized with laughter? Well I gave my brother-in-law Kevin a Great Birthday laugh today. He was helping me take pictures of the girls for Valentines Day. I was going for a picture of Happy Valentines Day in the sand when he started yelling watch out..WATCH OUT! There I went into the water with the camera AND Lilly Kate. Luckily I had enough sense to hold both of them up. Kevin ran over and grabbed Lilly then the camera. While he is getting LK settled I am trying hard to get out of the water and sand that is up to my chest. In the process of getting out I lost my shoe, make that Mary Alice's shoe (so I guess I have to go buy her new ones). By the time I am out Kevin and I are laughing so hard we are crying and all I could do for a minute is sit there. What where the girls doing during all this...just staring at us like we were both crazy. Kevin did manage to get a couple pics .....

Just after I got out with just one shoe.

Lilly Kate showing me where we fell in

The girls and I looking in the water to see if we could see the shoe

I hope you enjoyed your Birthday Laugh Uncle Kev.

What am I going to wear to the Dolphin Show?

I forgot what it is like to live on the Gulf Coast in the winter. There are days when you have to bundle up and then the next day you are wearing a short sleeve shirt with flip flops of course. We have had several of these days lately so my friend Margaret thought it would be the perfect time to go to the Gulfarium. I talked about it all week with the girls and even told Margaret Anne all about how I went their as a child on field trips and with my family. So needless to say we were all very excited about our adventure to the Gulfarium.

Early Friday morning, Patrick and I were still sleeping, Margaret Anne crawled in the bed with us and said "what do you think I should wear to the Dolphin Show."

After spending the morning picking out MA's outfit we headed out for a great time. The girls loved seeing the Dolphin Show (I think the dolphins approved of her outfit) as well as all the sea lions, warm weather penguins, alligators, sharks, sea turtles and sting rays. After spending the morning their I can safely say that Lilly Kate's favorite part was running around like a Wild Indian and Margaret Anne's favorite was the gift shop (she did not get anything but she sure did try hard). We can't wait to go again and maybe next time I will let Margaret Anne GET something!

Lilly the Dolphin, Margaret Anne couldn't believe Lilly had a Dolphin named after her

Ariel, doing some great tricks!

The girls watching the penguin show

Our first attempt at a semi-group shop

Second attempt, so this is where we stopped trying for group shops!

What a great day we can't wait to go back.

Playdates are so much fun....

I just love a good playdate. Margaret Anne and I like to talk about what she and her friend might do and then get ready with the things they might need. Margaret Anne loves to color and paint (that is all she wanted to do at the Kessler's) and she has found a friend who likes art as much as she does. My good, make that fabulous, friend from growing up Margaret has 2 precious little girls and her oldest Savannah is MA's age and they play great together. Savannah is being so kind to Margaret Anne and even invited her to join in her ballet class on Wednesdays (we are very happy to focus our dancing energy in class!). Thank you Savannah for coming over and playing we look forward to a lot more fun together.

On a side note I think Lilly Kate is ready for swimsuit season, this is how she came out of her room this morning....

The End!
